Prodaid supplies and integrates bowl feeder with press of customer

Prodaid recently completed a vibratory bowl feeder for feeding of dia 17 mm x 12 mm thickness bush with a flange on one side. The requirement was to feed the components in a single line, singulate them and them place them onto the indexing table of the customer for further operation. Prodaid completed this complete unit including integration of the equipment with the indexing table of the customer. The equipment consisted of a vibratory bowl feeder Model P-VBF 250 with a 400 mm diameter top bowl made of cast aluminium, coated with polyurethane coating. A gravity chute was then provided made of stainless steel tube for further take the component from the bowl feeder to the indexing table of the customer. A Pneumatic Escapement was attached to the gravity chute which ensured only a single component was released. This pneumatic escapement was activated with a sensor which was attached to the indexing table, thus co-ordinating the same with the indexing mechanism of the customer’s indexing table. A speed of 60 parts per minute was achieved. The whole equipment was mounted on a square tube stand of suitable height.

Prodaid manufactures feeding system with hopper & bowl feeder for 3 legged Metallic component

Prodaid Engineers, the 40 years old vibratory bowl feeder manufacturer from Bangalore recently manufactured a complete feeding system wherein a three legged metallic component was to be fed. The orientation required was that one leg should be facing the bowl centre while the gap between the other two legs to be resting against the wall of the bowl. The component had a tendency to rotate when the outlet was stopped. Hence, Prodaid provided an overflow mechanism which resulted in the components falling back into the bowl once the outlet was stopped. Polyurethane coating was provided for the bowl to reduce the noise level as the bowl and the components being metallic, a lot of noise was generated due to the metal to metal contact. A bowl having diameter of approximately 750 mm was used for this purpose. An additional requirement was for an extra capacity hopper for loading of 75 kgs of components. As a hopper is usually kept on the top of the bowl and hence the loading height becomes very high, beyond 2 mtrs. As the wt. of the components was more, it was difficult to expect the operator to feed at this height. Hence, Prodaid provided a pneumatic cylinder to take up the complete hopper with the components. The components could be loaded at the bottom point which was just 500 mm from the ground level. Then a manually operated pneumatic push button was to be activated to take up the hopper upto the level of the bowl so that the parts were then moved into the bowl gradually with the help of a linear vibrating tray. A level controller in the bowl ensured this was made automatically. The supply also included a stand for the vibratory bowl feeder. The customer was a major machine manufacturer based in Bangalore. Prodaid completed this equipment with support from its partner, Elscint Automation and ensured that the supply deadline was adhered too.

Prodaid manufactures 4 outlet bowl feeder for small metal part

Prodaid Engineers, the 40 years old vibratory bowl feeder manufacturer from Bangalore recently manufactured a bowl feeder with four outlets for feeding of a small metal part. The dimensions of the metal part were such that it was very difficult to orient and feed. The speed required was just 4 parts per minute per outlet and Prodaid achieved a speed of 20 parts per minute per outlet. A linear vibrator was provided at the end of the bowl feeder to make it convenient for the customer to pick up the parts. A centre distance of 50 mm was required to be maintained between each of the parts. The complete assembly was fixed on a single base plate to ensure ease of integration by the customer.
