Prodaid Engineers, the 40 years
old vibratory bowl feeder manufacturer from Bangalore recently completed an
order for a SPM manufacturer for supplying a vibratory bowl feeder for feeding
of Bushes. The bushes were unique in the since that the diameter and the height
were the same and hence, orientation was difficult. However, Prodaid provided a
unique reverse track mechanism to ensure that only the correctly oriented
Bushes were feed forward. This not only resulted in the wrongly oriented bushes
being recirculated in the bowl but also the speed was improved upon. As against
the required speed of 30 parts per minute, a speed of more than 100 bushes per
minute was observed. Prodaid also provided for an overflow mechanism so that in
case the outlet is stopped, the excess bushes fell back into the bowl. This
eliminated the need for a separate sensor for the customer. The bowl was made
in stainless steel and PU painted from inside to ensure a very good finish.
Model PA-55 was used with a dia 500 mm bowl for this application.
